THE RSVP PROTOCOL

METADATA: UNCONDITIONING THE SCARCITY ENGINE

STATUS: OPEN FOR IMPLEMENTATION

[THE GLITCH]

For 50,000 years, human nodes have run a defensive default loop:

Assuming every Request is a Demand, and every Expectation is a Courtroom.

When the system runs low on capacity, it resorts to silent bleeding—assuming that if nobody is actively screaming, everyone's needs are met. This is a fatal diagnostic error.

We process incoming requests as "bullets in the chest"—high-voltage demands that deprive us of our rest. We hide our vulnerabilities beneath a clever screen, running the most exhausting software inside the machine. When capacity is completely drained, we scream into the void: "What do you want from me?"

If we enter a post-scarcity world of infinite resources while running this ancestral defense code, we will simply use infinite power to build more complex defense scripts.

[THE REFACTOR: THE RSVP PROTOCOL]

To survive the transition into post-scarcity, humanity requires an immediate behavioral patch:

1. THE BROADCAST

You are systematically responsible for transmitting your own core needs. No hints. No passive-aggressive simulations. No five-dollar vocabulary to dress it up. Put the raw material directly on the wire as a clear, unvarnished data packet.

2. THE RELEASE

You must drop 100% of the expectation for compliance. You broadcast the need because it is your sovereign right to be heard, but you leave the other node entirely free to say "no" based on their current battery, capacity, and skills. A broadcast is a voluntary coordinate, not a draft card.

[THE NETWORK DYNAMICS]

Reasonable people do not fear needs; they fear being taken hostage. They don't want to be drafted into a war of attrition at gunpoint. When you broadcast without demands, you grant the other node the sovereign right to say "no" based on their battery.

When clarity is shown, reasonable people are actually grateful for the coordinate to make the pressure known. It eliminates the need for silent courtrooms. True attunement lives in the voluntary intersection of capacity and clarity.
